| Abstract: | This article provides a list of 16 benchmarks by which a nonprofit may assess whether to become a fiscal sponsor. The list covers mission-related, fiscal, board governance, infrastructure, and human resource capacity standards. The author emphasizes that the fiscal sponsor must be prepared to shoulder all risk and liability for the sponsored project. |
