3.   "Foundation grantmaking during the 2008-2009 economic collapse". Nonprofit Quarterly vol. 16 (Spring 2009) p. 38-45.

Abstract: Nonprofit Quarterly analyzes various available surveys and other data to identify funding trends during the economic crisis. The most prominent findings were that foundations are expected to give less in 2009 than in 2008, and less in 2010 than in 2009. Includes a table of predictions for grantmaking budgets based on geographic regions, and a list of recommendations for foundations.
